Drainfield Installation
Drainfield and Leach Field Installation in Conroe
The drainfield is where treated effluent returns to the soil, and it is the part of a septic system most likely to fail if it is undersized or poorly built. Artshay installs both gravel trench and chamber (gravelless) drainfields for Conroe area properties, each sized from the percolation rate so effluent disperses without surfacing or backing up.
Why the Field Type and Size Matter
- Perc rate sets the size. A slower soil needs a larger field. We size from the actual test result, not a rule of thumb, so the field carries your household load.
- Chamber or gravel. Plastic leaching chambers replace trucked in aggregate, a clean fit for tight access, while gravel trenches remain a proven, lower cost option where hauling is easy.
- Even distribution. A properly set distribution box splits flow across every lateral, so no single trench is overloaded while the rest sit dry.
Our Process
We start from the perc test and county approved design, excavate the trenches to grade, lay the perforated distribution pipe over washed gravel or set the chambers, and wrap the run in filter fabric before backfill. We reset or replace a settled distribution box when we tie in, then cover the field clean on lots off League Line Road.
